Study 2023

UPDATE 28/04/23 – Fund raising

The live session took place. We invite you to have a look at the presentation and help us to reach the target amount in order to make the study happen. Each donation guarantee to have access to the study results and even more. Let’s find out by reading the below document. Thx !

UPDATE 07/04/23 – UK STUDY IS READY TO START -> Hello all, we have very good news: the UK study is ready to start: research director is committed, medical protocol is approved, draft medical paper is reviewed, and labs showed interest. BUT we’re experiencing a major issue: we’re running out of participants. We need to reach 15 persons and we’re only 5 committed to it at the moment. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED TO PARTICIPATE TO THE STUDY, PLEASE CONTACT US VIA THIS MAIL: newcontagiousunknownpathogen@gmail.com

—————————————————————————————————————————————————-

What is the purpose of the study ?

The objective of the study is to discover and describe scientifically what is the unknown pathogen that severely affects our health in order to receive an adequate medical treatment.

Good news: a doctor in charge of research in UK wants to help us !

We found people willing to help us to connect to a private lab figuring out whats causing it.

What study process will be used ?

Blood samples will be collected from our subgroup in order to compare it with healthy donors.

At the beginning, the study will focus on 10 to 20 blood samples. The Lab will do a genomic sequencing on white blood cells and extract their DNA sequences. The same will be done with the blood samples of the healthy donors. Thanks to these datas (DNA sequences), the researchers are able to detect similarities and differences between healthy and infected blood samples. After that, they will be able to detect DNA sequences which potentially makes us sick.

As a final step, the researchers will be able to run the results on NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) to figure out if the new pathogen is close to another existing (known) pathogen (a new strain of mycoplasma, or any virus or bacteria/parasite).

What is the next action ?

This new survey is used to prepare the study. Please fill it in to move the study forward. We’ll summarize the results and find the commonality of symptoms and laboratory findings. This process will take 1-2 months (starting from March 2023).

UPDATE 23/01/2023 -> We organized 2 live information sessions with the participants and the research director. The pre-study phase is ongoing. Please find below the slides that were presented. Do not hesitate to take contact with us (see section “Contact” of the website). There are still open places to participate in the study !

SEARCHING FOR SUPPORT 08/02/2023 -> We had a call today with a Director/Professor of Clinical immunology in USA who studied “Yinzibing” a few years ago. This person offered us guidance. She will introduce us to two more contacts in the United States (institutes specialized in new pathogen discovery) the next days to present our case. We are very grateful to that person. Please find below the slide that were presented.

Please stay tuned! We will update you on the study results and next steps soon.
